Lessons Learned about Vaccination Access for Immigrants in St. Louis
The ISPN Service Providers Committee invites immigrant service providers to a virtual brown bag lunch where you can hear from others and share about your own lessons learned in increasing immigrant access to COVID-19 vaccines in St. Louis. A panel from LifeWiseSTL, Casa de Salud, and International Institute will kick us off with a short discussion of their experiences about what has worked for them—and what hasn’t—in the areas of vaccine information, event registration, and vaccination event access. You will get a chance to share your own insights in small groups about what you have tried so we can all leverage our own local expertise! Click here to register for this discussion.
Making Sense of the COVID-19 Vaccine: Immigrant and Refugee Resources
Please join the Immigrant Service Providers Network, Regional Response Team, and PrepareSTL for a COVID-19 Vaccine Q&A panel for organizations serving immigrants and refugees.
The panel will focus on equipping staff with a basic understanding of vaccines and a clear understanding of the differences between the three currently available vaccines. After short presentations from our three expert panelists, Dr. LJ Punch, Dr. Stephen Liang, and Dr. Osama Altayar, we will spend most of our time discussing concerns and questions about the COVID Vaccine that are prevalent in different immigrant and refugee communities. We will also use a portion of our time together to explain how organizations can access the Speakers Bureau if they would like an expert to talk directly to the clients they are serving. The ideal outcome of the Q&A Panel will be that organizations will know how to provide accurate information to the communities they are serving and they will know where to direct people to find additional information.
